HLFS is currently in an alpha state. Work continues on it constantly. It is recommended that only experienced testers read the current development book.

  • Added Binutils PT_PaX testsuite fix patch
  • Removed CC=gcc -B/usr/bin/ from gcc and binutils pass 1. I think this was for a problem with some distros, which doesn't affect us. LFS doesn't use this anymore either.

  • Changed sed order. Previous sed order caused init to look for shutdown in /tools/tools/bin.
  • Added --with-login-utils to build the login command. This command is needed to login to the temporary system.
